developing interest in c.a doesn't require that time if a person sits with a knowledgeable person for few days like seniors interest can be created in that way and when person goes into preparing essay his interest starts to build up . Im sure that you have heard stories of candidates who cleared css in short span and they were doctors those doctors who doesn't know anything else but medical . Even i didn't had any interest in the subject but managed to clear with good guidelines . well there are always two or three theories regarding everything so bro you are good on your point

Come on you have to have an interest in CA if u want to appear for css exam.
u can try reading news paper daily, watch talk shows on daily basis.
u can also get help from books and journals like:
1) Current affairs by Rai Iqbal (highly recommended)
2) Current affairs by AP
3) Current affairs in Focus
4) Contemporary affairs

Best of luck!

who said you that you don'y have to have interest in c.a , i was saying that guy has a hell of time for preparation and can manage things easily because he wishes to appear in 2014 . So he must feel easy creating interest in c.a doesn't require years a person with average intellect can easily manage to grasp c.a in 4 to 5 months

your combination of optional subjects is impressive all are scoring
for current affair buy any book or if you can arrange good notes of any academy
then go over it first make a schedule of study in first phase cover relations like;
Pak and india
pak-u.s
pak-china
pak-afghanistan
pak-russia
then go for organizations
SAARC
ASEAN
OIC
WTO
then issues of pakistan
energy crisis
terrorism
bad governance
political crisis
women empowerment
balochistan issue
gawadar's importance
thar coal
national integration
then international issues
EU crisis
arab spring's impact on world politics
iran's nuclear program and us israel
i may have missed few topics but this is the way to cover maximum with a schedule other wise things get mixed up and whenever you find something new about the topics do not it in a note book jahangir times is a good source of current affair topics with notes or any book

Current affairs paper has more questions of issues relating to pakistan then international . And answer to your question is that prepare all important issues from janruary of 2012 to december of 2012 because next year's issues will not be regarded as important ones because papers are finalized before that .
And some times past issues are asked in indirect way as their consequences on present scenario but their % is low and automatically you covers them while studying current problems , as historical perspective is quite important to understand the issue
And believe me if you found in paper that you studied more then required , then you also have to consider the importance of that data because you can use any of the relating data in essay ,pak affairs, islamiyat and even in optionals

come on how many times you will post same thread seems like you are publicizing authors we got your point dear and again i will say if a person have to appear 2 years after today then there is no need to prepare or creating interest in c.a today from how many years you are reading these books or their editions ?
