what should i read besides Dawn
some one refered me journals of IRS but they are monthly quaterly ....

as i am planning to appear in 2014 what strategy should i adopt to prepare CA??

seniors plz help

Keep watching capital talk Kamran khan's show & other tv programmes to be up dated regarding current affairs etc. DAWN is must.

My Dear, As you have just started, you need not bother about C.A at least for initial 4 Months, but yes for sure stick to the dawn from the very day first.moreover, after 3 month, you may start with different monthly publications such as Press review, monthly current affair by safdar mehmood, jahangir world time and alike.

There's so much you can do, since you have a lot of time left. Visit Current affairs section here regularly, read Tribune, besides Dawn, and history books so that you get adequately informed, though I prefer news from online sources over newspapers. It's no use that you are getting updated constantly, but you have no knowledge of history. And then there's always Youtube.
I'm not senior, but I've tried this, and this always works for me in the toughest of situations. Good luck!

brother you hav enough time to prepare, but it is also not wise to leave CA, so go for dawn daily but remember that everything in it is not for you

n please keep one thing in mind that whatever programs/tv shows/ newspaper u select stick to that don't go for everything, u must consider that u hav to prepare other 1100 marks as well

Once you have deviced your strategy, then don't let CA get on your nerves

As all the juniors bro and sisters are advising you, so being a junior to this forum, i also advise you that you can read dawn, jehangir world times etc from now onwards, but for CE-2014 you have to cover the events of 2013, as mostly the comtemporary issues are asked in the subjective part of the paper, but for mcqs you have to prepare general knowledge plus current affairs plus history.

I think its way to early for you to seriously start studying for CA paper since you are appearing in 2014. If I were you I would concentrate on the other subjects
