yaar sab kuch wahi hia jo main result anai se pehlai kehta tha k topic ko divide karain.... Maps banain, Economics survey of Pakistan mn kaam k fact and figures apke finger tips par honai chahie or koshish kar k woh sawal attempt na karain jo Pakistan ka har candiate kar k ata hai.....

Sab se pehlai aap k topics har angle se tayar honai chahie or phir use ke baad Maps, flowchart, fact and figures jo k up to date ho bahoot zaroori hotai hian acha score karnai k lyie......

and yes the best way to fetch good marks is to solve past papers at least last 10 years and get them checked by a good teacher or some one having command over the subject.

I can recall k mera koi bhi aisa answer nahi tha current affairs main jo quotation se shroo or quotation par hi khatam na hua hoo.... Quotations se mera matlab hai "Relevant Quotes" from some concerned and well known author/person.

I scored 60 with majority of MCQs incorrectly answered. I passed the subject purely on subjective part.

How I did it? Simple, I would visit websites like Express Tribune for national and provincial news headlines while reading those that caught my attention.

But that's not what got me through the exam. The real success came from Karachi Literature Festival. It was held roughly a week before CSS and I attended majority sessions related to current affairs and took careful notes. For maximum recall, I wrote a detailed blog post about KLF and the individual session I attended and what learned from it. I would never have analyzed socio-pilitical situation of Afghanistan after USA pull-out if I had skipped Najam Sethi's session on Afghanistan's situation. The economic and political situation of our neighbor was discussed in depth and some very valuable suggestions were provided as to what Pakistan and India should and should not do after US pulls out.

Similarly session on Kashmir and other talks helped a lot since they were most current happenings and I was able to retain most of it till exams.
