Dear seniors plz help me , i want to prepare english for CSS.......how......where..means books. i have only one book EXPLORING THE WORLD.........

Do not prepare everything available in that book. just explore what you think is difficult for you to udnerstand.

Exploring the world of English composition will suffice most of your requirement. If you need any thing else, then try to attempt past year papers.

What you can cover from this book includes:

1. Pair of words
2. Idioms
3. Narration
4. Precise Writing
5. Short Essay
6. Punctuation/Correction (To certain level)

Thus your paper of composition can well be prepared from this book.

How will you start preparation:

Try out a mix of these topics say two pages of idioms with two pages of word-pairs and an essay or replace essay with a precise (two exercises) on daily basis. Carry on with another subject on part time basis so that you don't fell bore.

aoa, i am new on this forum,want to appear in css 2012.i am very weak in English, can you advice me how cam i prepare my self till exam i am starting from zero. my date of birth is 19,05,11986.how many time i can appear in exam. thanks

Start reading Dawn Newspaper and consult a standard dictionary where ever you stuck.

Eligibility to appear in exams is calculated by your age that should be less then 28 on 1st December of each year when forms are submitted.

On 1st Dec 2011...You are 25.55 Years Old
On 1st Dec 2012...You are 26.55 Years Old
On 1st Dec 2013...You are 27.55 Years Old
On 1st Dec 2014...You are 28.55 Years Old

Hence in my humble opinion you can appear up to 2013, beyond that (in 2014 onward) you will be greater then 28 years of age and will not be eligible to appear.

The Date on which your age will be calculated is 31st December 2011, you can see at this advertisement for CSS 2012. Still your eligibility remains some what same..I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Exploring the world of English is a useful book for the Paper of English in C.S.S. But you must use the book according to your syllabus defined . If you have enough time to study the book then you Should read it thoroughly .
