""Variety is the spice of life"""
A great adage is "There is nothing permanent in life except change". The maxim "Variety is the spice of life” hardly concerns about the change, that enhances the pleasure of life. As the spices are stark needed to make a dish tasteful and delicious, ostensibly different spices or contrast are required for attractive life exactly. The stagnation is bored and blunted. Everything in world changes with the passage of time and truly these change make life attractive and create charm in it.
Life would have been dull and dry, dark and dismal, if there has been no variety in it. Light changes into darkness, child changes into old age and life changes into death, though these alterations of life are absolutely expediencies. Undoubtedly these are the spices that fascinated and enchanted life firmly. Look at nature, we see it is coins, day changes into night and night changes into day, autumn changes into spring, summer changes into winter and the sun rises and sets. Similarly light has no meaning if darkness does not exist and love has no meaning if there is no “hatred”. A good orator used variety of words in speech which give effulgence to oratory. As a writer used different kind of words in his writing, similarly a lawyer must have a decent vocabulary to win a case in court.
The ebb and flow of life creates pleasure in it. Something is beautiful until it is challenging but when it is possessive, the charm in it, is lost. Man does not like to live a life like a machine but he wants to change. If people stop exploring the ideas then life will become stagnant and no thrill and excitement will remain in life.
