Dear all, i am completely dumb in English, very dull from the school time, i unable to memorize the grammar rules and regulations :P and where to use the right and where to not :P what is nouns pronouns verbs etc this is my problem i can easily learn and pronunciate words & the Vocabulary but the grammar makes problem for me :P guide me to improve my English for my CSS attempt which will taken place in 2014...!!!

Hey brother..Grammar is all about practice.You have said that you are good when it comes to vocabulary and spellings,that is good for you.In order to get control of grammar,first read all the rules and regulations,memorize them one by one.Then while studying or reading,think about the structure of the sentences written and search for the parts of speech.Think about the sense of the words used in various sentences.I assure you,one day you will be able to write good and correct English....And yeah,Never give up.

brother don't worry as you know "practice makes man perfect".SO FIRST DO PRAY FOR YOUR SELF and work hard .you have ample time of 2 years for your first attempt so start from now and first try to only understand the logic and meaning behind grammar rules don't try to memorize them but try to understand them .that why they basically used.
in morning try to make a habit of reading grammar because in morning we have fresh mind and can easily pay more heed to complicated things. try to read rules every morning and practice them like 1 day do topic of noun then practice it for 30 to 40 minutes.then do topic of pronoun and practice it .you can easily get exercises on internet and use any good grammar book and don't use very difficult grammar book try to start with easy and understandable book.then after doing different topics per day come to sentence structure and practice that in the same way.

remember in papers don't ever try to impress examiner by using complicated vocabulary and with complex structure mostly students do this mistake and fails to convey their actual thought and concept try to use moderate and simple language with effective thoughts .css is not the exam to check your language only .it is the exam to make or show your thoughts more effective then others'.

@Angle Start yea sis ;-) i will do try to make it my habit to learn grammer and understand their rule i tried alot i got something but then i forgot lol D wht i do...!! just few dayz ago my one frnd who studind in NOA Isb suggest me a English Grammer BooK by Syed Sadat ALi shah which i bought recently and trying to learn from it what u suggest me how to get knowledge from that book i dont hve frnd with whom i can talk in eng :P

brother Syed Sadat ALi shah's book is very good and lessons which are given in this book are very easy to understand.so start lesson 1 and must do that on daily basis.try to include this in your daily routine and brother you have this forum to describe your thoughts in English.you can write 1 essay or can write your views and thoughts on any news under relevant sections.in this way you can also identify your mistakes and will encouraged as well.respected members and seniors are here to help you as much as they can.and you can also talk in english with your siblings it will enhance your confidence and fluency in language.so try these tips.do study grammar in morning try to give 2 hours daily and must do practice.don't feel shy or fearful while talking and writing. must write your views on paper or either this forum and get it checked by any teacher.

suppose you are preparing Pakistan affairs now a days and today your topic is movements.so after preparing it just take paper and pen and write down what ever you have understand from this topic.do write in your own words and in the end give your own opinion that in your thoughts what are the merits and demerits of that topic.in this way not only your writing skills will enhance but also your analytical skills.

HAVE STRONG FAITH ON ALLAH ALMIGHTY AND don't give up.

please read more.reading Dawn news paper,especially The young world is a simple and interesting Way to improve your vocabulary and also you can write a paragraph daily and get it checked.

one thing which must always be kept in mind is that a perfect building or structure is always built on a solid foundation, you want it or not, you will have to go back to the basics of grammar. once you are good at basics, you can go from basics to complex structures and will be able to use auxiliaries and modal verbs which are of cardinal importance in English...
i recommend the following book which will make you familiar with basic to advance grammar in an easy manner..
