We can't use any preposition after REACH.

Correct me, If I am wrong.

13-I.............him............something to his father. (hear, heard, have heard>say, said, has been saying)

I heard him saying something to his father.

There should be SAYING in the options which you have not given.

As, there was a question in past papers of CSS.

Incorrect: I noticed Akbar was carrying a bag in his hand.
Correct: I noticed Akbar carrying a bag in his hand.

Correct me, If I am wrong.

Regards,

From the sense of your sentence It may be 'saying'.........I think saying will also be correct.......But according to book, the option of 'saying' is not given............

So, it is better to wait till seniors' posts.............

Thanks.......

What ever I know, for place reach doesn't follow preposition.

Like:

I reached my home. I have reached the Karachi.

If I am not wrong, Platform is also a place.

I saw him going down the stairs.

We use present/participle.

Check it out.

(3) I noticed Akbar was carrying a bag in his hand.

I noticed Akbar carrying a bag in his hand

http://www.cssforum.com.pk/116609-post170.html

I heard him say something his father. SAY DOESN'T SUIT AT ALL.

Well, to human is err.

I request to seniors members. Make me correct if I am wrong.

Regards.
