AOA, Seniors please evaluate the following sentences and highlighted the mistakes.

1. She said, “I was reciting the Holy Quran.”
She said that she had been reciting the Holy Quran.
2. He said, “I obeyed my parents.”
He said that he had obeyed his parents.
3. You said, “This book is not mine.”
You said that that book is not yours.
4. They said, “No, we do not live in this house.”
They said that they did not live in that house.
5. We said to him, “Sir, we are really very sorry for what we did.”
We respectfully told him that they are really very sorry for what they did.
6. He said to me, “All right, sir, I shall see you tomorrow.”
He told me respectfully that he would see me the next day.
7. You said to him, “Yes, I have been taking these medicines since long.”
You told him that you had been taking those medicines since long.
8. He said to us, “I am leaving for your home-town tonight.
He told us that he was leaving for our home-town that night.
9. “Yes, sir,” said they, “we have carried out your order.”
They said respectfully that they dad carried out their order.
10. “Life,” said he, “is not a bed of roses.”
He said that life is not a bed of roses.
11. The old man said to his sons, “Man proposes, God disposes.”
The old man advised his sons, man proposes, God disposes.
12. Father said to his sons, “I shall buy your books tomorrow.”
Father told his sons that he would buy their books the next day.
13. The peon said to the headmistress, “Madam, I forgot to post this letter yesterday.”
The peon respectfully told the headmistress that he had forgot to post that letter the previous day.

Smile use of if and whether in direct and indirect speech?

salam to all,
could you eleborate the difference between if and wether in interogative form of direct and indirect speech?
if someone has solid reply must put his suggestion here.
