Introduction
In the second decade of twenty-first century, Pakistan I slagging behind from its competitors on many fronts-education, growth rate, development and most importantly in curbing poverty. When as a nation we are facing internal as well as external threats; in such a situation, where our arch-rival –India- is progressing with leap frog growth and surpassing us on per capita income. In the present political, social and economic landscape, poverty incorporated with multiproned challenges-terrorism, political instability, existential threats- can exacerbate vulnerabilities and sensitivities of Pakistan if not addressed timely.
