AOA to all the candidates awaiting their result of css 2008.i attempted this essay""Can we prevent a THIRD WORLD WAR?"".
i am regurgitating the same outline as i prepared at the back of my answer paper without any adulteration.

-Introduction(yes we can prevent a WW3)
-development of WMDs fear of nuclear war and total devastation of the world
-new techniques and strategies developed to keep war confined in certain definable limits i.e. limited war, peaceful coexistence and fewer countries willing to buy the conventional war theory
-neo-imperialism and cultural imperialism gaining currency so war is an outmoded and impracticable exercise
-socio-economic problems if resolved then we can address fundamental problems and seek their solutions(UN playing its effective role)
-role of UN and other regional organisations
-long standing disputes if resloved then we can prevent a third world war(i.e. palestine, darfur, kashmir, srilanka, tibet, iraq, iran etc)
-terrorism
-clash of civilisation a misnomer it actually should be clash of sensibilities(terrorists don't represent islam neither do christians represent the crusaders)
-global warming
-conclusion

Allhamdullilah i am satisfied with what i wrote. i invite all of the readers to comment/criticise dispassionately.i also mentioned in my essay the present situation and how events shall unfold if we do not address these odds.i also furnished remedies and suugestions.since the reader knows that an essay requires time managment, i did my best to keep a balance between subsequent pargraphs.i was`once told by my english teacher that whosoever has command on a subject, he always makes it simple and understandable.i wish all those who have aspired to become a CSP a very bright future and an exhilariting success.Allah hafiz

Default Well I once again went for GLOBAL WARMING

Previously in 2006, it awarded me 50 marks, lets see what happens this time as there was a "tilt" given to the topic. It read as "GLOBAL WARMING, FACT OR FICTION"....

I started my essay with defining the global warming(the increase in the average temp of the earth), On the very first page I mentioned that the choice that a person will make in this regard, that is, global warming being fact or fiction, depends upon the background, social status, education level of the person."FOR EXAMPLE, FOR A BUSINESS BIGSHOT WHO OWNS INDUSTRIES THAT EMIT HUGE QUANTITIES OF GREENHOUSE GASES, THE PROBLEM OF GLOBAL WARMING WILL APPEAR JUST AS FICTION. AFTERALL, HOW CAN A MERE FEW DEGREES INCREASE IN TEMPERATURE CAN CAUSE THE PROBLEM OF EXTINCTION???"

Next I proceeded with the main body of the essay and the focal point of my argument was that "IF IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE THE LIFE EXIXTS ON THE PLANET EARTH, THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE CAN REGULATE THE TEMPERATURE, MAINTAINING AN AVERAGE OF 15 DEGREE CELSIUS."

I discussed greenhouse gases and the composition of the atmosphere. I proved that this was "human-induced" change in the atmosphere resulting from the increased quantities of greenhouse gases, generated mainly through burning of the fossil fuel.....

Then I discussed in detail the impact of the expected rise in temp from 1.5-4.5 degrees:
1 impact on weather patterns
2 impact on eco systems
3 impact on life in general and human life in particular
4 impact on agriculture etc....

BUT LO AND BEHOLD I VE ALREADY WRITTEN 18 PAGES AND ONLY 30 MINUTES REMAINING

So I couldn't deal effectively with the criticism on the issue of "Global Warming" and by giving the example of Koyoto and other protocols, I proposed that these were economic costs of reducing the greenhouse gases that caused the "sceptics" to say that global warming is mere fiction...

Then I mentioned remedies and ended my essay with positive expressions

I still remember the last line....

VICTORY MAY TAKE ITS SWEET TIME COMING, BUT COME IT WILL, BUT COME IT WILL....

PLZ DERA FELLAS PRAY FOR ME MAY THE DREAMS OF MY PURPOSEFUL LIFE SOON BECOME REALITY....

AH.................... THIS "BEING IN A STATE OF NOTHINGNESS" IS JUST KILLING ME....
