There should be no doubt that essays of css 2009 were relatively easier than that of past years especially 2003, 2004, 2005,2006. Though all were manageable but many chose "women in islam" to avoid any controvery in essay as in other essays assesor might agree or disagree.

But many i met who attempted the above mentioned essay wrote the same ideas as were written in the book "islam its meaning and messages". I believe this general similarity of ideas and of outlines might mar our performance and accord us unsatisfactory marks.

What are the views of forum senior members? plz comment.

Though many people may have consulted from the same book still each one of them has his own writing style, presentation, logic, rationality, anlysis, organization, flow of thoughts and language, vocabulary and grammar. With all these elements varying from one essay to the other, the examiner will be able to judge them accordingly.
Also, writing on a common topic and still being able to come up with some newer ideas and unique dimensions of the issue is the real skill to score good.

Negativity

1. Since every one's essay on women in islam would be alike, it would reflect rote learning and no any independent analysis. This might mar the performance.

2. Same outlinings in every essay would kill the essence of essay and might be the cause of boredom.


Positivity


1. Every canddate would start essay in his own way. writing style would vary and the examinor must note this point.

2. Women in islam essay was considered to be safer essay as in other essays there might be controvercy or divergence of opinion. besides, majority of ideas written in the book"islam its meaning and messages" purely reflect islam.
