The bureaucracy has several advantages. It is also riddled with many negatives as well. But, when hiring, they always look for the people with some perspective. You can go ahead with any perspective. You can criticize the Govt if you can back it up with some authentic arguments. Simply because you are against a perspective, they won't be able to discard your arguments. I am acquainted with people who have given ideologies from far left to far right to moderate and yet, have been successful in the exam (written and interview). But, and believe me this is a capital BUT, keep your language and tone in a veiled and lighter manner. This is a quality expected of all civil service members.

I hope you got my point, I wanted to put the cases of various foreign policies, which went to a total failure. For instance, Butto's Non-state actors, ISI role in the creation of Taliban, Nawaz Sharif's reconginition and support of Taliban etc. you said, go with some perspectives, but there are many perspectives in our country, will it be sound to give all perspectives and put our arguments on either side.

As I said earlier, you can say almost anything which you can support with arguments and reference. In this case, you can point out a balanced or one-sided perspective (that is your choice but I prefer balanced). Everything that has some sort of official backing and proof, like the ISI role in the creation of Taliban or Pakistan govt's ascent in conducting drone attacks, can be given in the exam. As with so many perspective, you may choose to offer one perspective, but it is not advisable. At least, you must understand all the perspectives even if you support only one point of view. This is where your own judgment and analytical prowess is checked. Formulate your own opinion based on various facts and arguments.
