Essay paper carries 100 marks and to secure required 40 marks to qualify this paper become harder for most of the aspirants.
What's the "Marking Scheme" for this paper? How many marks an initial impression of the Essay can attain? What will be reward for good vocabulary, clarity of expressions, relevant references, sequence and a good conclusion? I need expert opinion from the CSS Qualified members about the structure of essay.
For me it's necessary to learn as I was overconfidant owing to my performance in graduation and wasn't able to give required attention to this paper. As a result Essay was the only paper which I failed to qualify in my last appearance.
So everyone is requested to share their knowledge and experience to let me and others perform better.

In my view essay writing in CSS exam requires;
1) outlines,
2) knowledge alongwith references,
3) simple english means less spelling mistakes mistakes,
4) less grammatical mistakes.
In this condition u can get through essay paper. (45 -55 marks)
If u feel that u r not confident in writing essay on CSS level due to English, simply take an urdu essay on given topic and try to translate it yourself.
Remember to be simple but having much points means knowledge/information and references in essay writing.

if i attempted essay on Disaster management
a rough outline of the essay was like this

Though no proper heading of introduction but commenced essay be explaining disasters their types ........concept of disaster management and so on should i expect any sort of marks for introduction ???????

Marking Scheme described by shootingstar will definately help to produce a better Essay as we will be aware of the worth which each part of the Essay carries. Ultimately we ll try to give due share to each segment as well without being focused too much on a particular portion.
Moreover game awan's question deserves some attention by seniors too.

Is it conform ?

I think essay is the easiest paper and it can be cleared with least effort. My advise; just keep it simple. (i have passed it twice once css and once pms).
