I would suggest to start from, tracking down the economic condition of Muslims of India from the days of Sir Syed, then coming towards the times of partition and initial economic problems faced by Pakistan, Various economic plans of various regimes, educational policies and effects of illiteracy, lack of research and industrial know how, geo-political factor, political instability, Corruption, Bad Governance (Instead of Poor Management,). Then discuss the economic theory, Islamic principles of economics, banking system, IMF and World Bank, foreign aid dependence, tax culture, lavish expenditure by government. Remedies include re-structuring the agricultural sector, eliminating Corruption, Educational reforms, tax management and introducing the concept of Bait-ul-maal, etc. The bottom Line is where there is will there is way, the examples of Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, could be included.
