I am not authority ,But i think there is no need to give headings in essay .Just give outline and then start your essay ,explain your points in paragraphs .

No the headings in the essay are not recommended.
You only have to make outlines and mention it in the very start of the essay and attempt essay as per outlines without mentioning them again

a.o.a dear make an outline for ur essay first and there u should write main points but dont make hadings in ur essay. u will loose marks just write intro and then detain in the body of ur essay and at last write a conclusion without headings

Making outlines for yourself in the starting is a good idea, but giving headings and subheadings to details is time consuming, and of course not an ideal impression.
