Transparency International is the source. Its current report has placed Pakistan on 96th position among 134 countries. On the corruptions perception index the country scored low 2.5 against the maximum score of 10.....

(these facts were published in the yellow pages of dawn)

UPDATED FACTS & FIGURES (TILL DECEMBER, 2012)

1-OVERPOPULATION OF PAKISTAN

We have population of 180 million and out of which half of the oupulation is below theage of ninteen adn two-third of the population is below the age of thirty. Thus, these people are our biggest asset as the coal can be converted in diamon, these people can be converted into value addition. hence, demography of Pak is an assetanmd if we dont anything then it will be a liablity.

-65 per cent of the overall population-comprises people under the age of 25.

-According to UN report 32 per cent of the people aged between 15 and 29 years are illiterate, less than six percent have acquired technical skills and only 2.5 per cent have recived on the job training.

-According to UNDP report the population of Pakistan is increasing 3 per cent annualy. Which is an allaraming problem.

-MDGs (Milleniom Development Goals) A commette was held in 2000 in which targets were decided till 2015 to handle the problems i.e poverty, edu, etc)

-Currently, the situation is rather hazy. All kinds of numbers are flying from varied directions. In the absence of an official word on the current poverty rate, it is hard to say how far Pakistan is from the key goal: reducing poverty to 13 per cent by 2015. Depending on the source, the current poverty rate is projected anywhere between 17 and 35 per cent of the GDP. That is quite a range!

Increasing rate
Our population is increasing at the rate of more than three million a year.

2-EDUCATION OF PAKSITAN
Education Improvemnt (phds)
If we have to improve our leve, we need another 10,000 PhDs to teach at our universities and for 10,000 PhDs we need money for scholarships because our universitites do not have the capacity to produce 10,000 PhDs in the next ten years (chairman HEC (Dr. Javed Lagari)

3-CNG of Pakistan
-70% transportation of Pakistan is on CNG

Corruption
Asgar khan's case
It may influence elections as various political leaders are found guilty of taking money from agencies to rig the 1990 elections.

Debt
-In jan Pak has to submit the loan of IMF which is about 2 $billion. Then the rupees will be doomed, because we dont reserve and dont fullfil the conditions of IMF. As in last year, reserves went down. Jese reserves girege dollar ka ruppe ke opar pressure parega. Jese dollar mehnga hoga, imports sare mehngi hojaegi, ek naya round inflation (mehngai) ka shuru hojaega. Jese ab singale digit me he phr double digit me chalajaega.

The availability of water in Pakistan has been declining over the past few
decades from 5000 cubic meters per capita sixty years ago to 1200 cubic
meters per capita
in 2010. By 2020, this shortage will further reduce to 800
cubic meters per capita. Pakistan is also estimated to be losing 13 million
cu secs of water
every year from its rivers into the sea, as it does not have
enough reservoirs or dams to store water.
