Challenges Faced by Muslim Ummah

Introduction:
Islam is the base of nationalism, second largest religion, 1.2 billion, 70% of world’s energy resources, 57 countries from Morocco to Indonesia, Quranic injections to observe unity, originators of scientific reasoning and mysteries of universe, but facing terrible humiliation in every fields of life

Present humiliating Scenario:
Blasphemous Attacks, US influence and occupation, labeled as savages and barbaric, social persecution in the west, Media Trial, no nuclear energy even for peaceful needs

Factors behind Terrible Weaknesses:
Internal Causes- illiteracy, poverty, extremism, distorted religion, dictatorship, social injustice, indiscipline, sectarian clashes.
External Causes- US influence, weak defense, No seat in UNSC, weak economic cooperation, divide between conservative and liberal Muslims

Effects of Backwardness, Violence, and Ignorance:
Iraq and Afghanistan occupation, Arab oil, Israel’s occupation, killing under Clash of Civilizations, ineffective OIC, frustrated and closed societies

Pragmatic Procedures to Regain the “Lost Glory”:
Enlightened Leadership, High Technology and Defense System, true democracy, soft image of Islam, moderate intellectuals, Islamic economic union and media, Human Resource Development, need for peacekeeping force under OIC

Conclusion:
Joint efforts by the world community to make this world a heaven
