Default Short essay

It is excellent to have a giant’s strength
But it is tyrannical to use it like a giant

This quotation brings an undeniable reality to the readers that human beings by nature are desirous to have power and dominance in their lives. Most of the people strive to become powerful at any cost. In reality there is no harm in getting power but to use it violently create havoc in the society. Therefore, it can be evaluated by the examples of historical figures and the conduct of different nations.

Primarily, there are many historical persons who brutally misuse power in their ruling periods. In the case of Pharaoh who claimed himself the incarnation of God on the earth after becoming the king Egypt. As a result, he had been perished because of despotic rule which he used against the people of Moses and God made him example for future generation to learn the lesson. Likewise, Hitler and Napoleon were two dictators who desperately harm people for a long time. However, there are rare people in history who ruled justly. Among them, one of the balanced personality was Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who not only supremely successful on the religious ground but also on the secular level despite having immense power.

Moreover, these lines apply to the dominating nations throughout the world as well. After having technological advanced, the western countries want to stabilize their social, political and economical status at the expense of underdeveloped nations. As a matter of fact, they do not want to see under developed nations on an equal status. For instance, China’s economic supremacy is great threat to the US, Turkey’s development has negative impacts on European countries, Russia and America rivalry over Syrian issue, etc. Obviously, these developed nations exploit their strength to achieve personal objectives. That’s why it is rightly to quote that “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely” (by Lord Acton).

In conclusion, it is highly recommendable for people as well as for nations that they should utilize ultimate supremacy to relieve oppressive people and to facilitate the equal opportunities to underdeveloped nations. Shortly, both power and strength lessen with the passage of time but one has to be accountable for his/her actions in the long run.

Dear seniors read and comment on it.
