luxuries of today are the necessities of tomorrow
This is a simple topic. you have to give examples from the past. every thing produced for human use and consumption was initially available only for the rich and as time goes by 1) people's income increase 2) production methods improve 3)supply of the product increases and there is accompanying demand for the product as well 4) everyone begins to use that product, gets used to it and it becomes a necessity carpets, glasses, jugs, pens, books, even bricks, concrete, steel, cars, laptops, beds, sofas, even soap you remember how 3310 used to sell for thousands of ruppees, now if you offer someone thousand ruppees to carry it they won't. initially 3310 was a luxury, then became a necessity and now it is a nuisance. now people have smart phones and android sets. smart phones were a luxury once, now they are required in offices for emails, documents etc electricity was a luxury. now we turn off if there is no electricity if this does not help ask again. |
