Question ce-2013 essay # 9. Not economy but poltics is a key to success

ce-2013 essay # 9. Not economy but poltics is a key to success

1. INTRODUCTION

land + capital + labour + organizer = economy

Here the organizers are politician who organize economic sphere of the country along with other spheres of the state, and facilitate economy with growth, development & productive power to yield & incite peace , prosperity & success in society.
Unfortunately the islamic republic of Pakistan , since the demice of jinnah & the murder of liaqat ali khan, has been experiencing instable democracy, crippled economy, fragile jjudiciary and many other such socio-economic & poltical problems ,due to brain-dead politician , ear-jammed bureaucracy, egoistical feudals , religious war-lords, profit oriented industrialists, power-hunger generals & illiterate masses.
Rule of law , an independent judiciary, free media, merit based procedures & questioning masses are some of the essential features of democracy. Unfortunately these basic features of democracy have been violatyed in pakistan since its independence in 1947.

" the essence of democracy is its assurance that every ibdividual shouldv so respect himself, & should be so respected in his own personality equal to that of every other humkan being , to show what he was meant to become" Anna Garlin Spencer

2. HISTORY OF POLTICAL CRISIS IN PAKISTAN

FROM 1947 TO 1956

* absence of a constitution
* absence of a strong poltical party
* rise of regionalism in bengal
* eleven prime ministers in first neni years
* in 1955 dissolution of constituent assembly
* black Doctrine of necessity

FROM 1956 TO 1958

* adoptation of constituion
* abrogation of constitution
* imposition of martial law

FROM 1958 TO 1969

* Ayub s martial law
* presidential system & the constitution of 1962
* making of muslim league conventional
* system of basic democrats but there was also better economic growth.

FROM 1970 TO 1977

* Fascist civilian rule under bhutto
* agreed constitution of 1973
* bhutto teried to oust military from politics but failed.
* the poor friendly regime but negative effects of nationalization
* pakistan national allience (PNA) and movement against bhutto derailed democracy
* opposition invited zia to take over

FROM 1977 TO 1988

* Zia s martial law & ban on political activities
* making of majlis e shoora 1982
* 8th ammendment with powerful president
* non-party based election 1986
* decreasing peopl s interest in poltics
* better economic growth with high growth rate of GDP
*

FROM 1988 TO 1999

* the most corrupt regime of benazir & dictatorial regime of nawaz sharif.
* rising poverty & unemployment. etc etc

FROM 1999 to 20008
& then

FROM 2008 TO PRESENT

ANALYSIS OF THE ABOVE HAPPENINGS

Reviewing the above stated facts it is obvious that the list of failures surpasses that of the achievments,. With such abject, bleak & miserable conditions it was impossible for pakistan , untill today, to turn its way back towards the track of success , which the society and the ppl of pakistan are still looking forward for.

3. ROLE OF ARMY IN THE POLITICAL CRISIS OF PAKISTAN

The oath noe discribed for the members of pakistan defence foreces un section 2 ( article 244) is taht,

" i.............do solemnly swear that i shall bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution of the islamic republic of pakistan , which embodies the will of the ppl, that i shall not engage myself in any political activity whatsoever , and that i shall honestly & faithfully serve pakistan in pakitan army ( navy or air force0, as required by & under the law ".

However the genrals turned the circumstances in there favour, surprisingly the dictators got co-operative judges & friendly politician to prolong their rule. The army for all practical purposes has been in charge. The army of pakistan has veto over more critical dicisions of the state affecting both forieng & security policies.

4. GENERALS VS JUDGES

5.ROLE OF BUREUCRACY IN P.CRISIS

Quaid e azam at chttagang to civil servants after independence

" i know u r saddled with the old legacy, old mentality old psychology, Make the ppl feel that u r their servants and friends. Maintain the highest degree of honour, integrity, justice and fair play".

6. FACTORS BEHIND TERRIBLE WEAKNESSES

a. american influence
b. role of oppostion
c. role of media.
d. absence of balance b/t ex, jud, & legislature
e. willingness of political parties to work as a "B-Team" of army
f.. personalization of poltics & unbridled power of army.

7. CORRECTIVE MEASURES TOWARDS SUCCESS

" the difference b/w what we do & what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world s problems" M.Gandhi

" our problems are man-made, therefore they must be solved by man, and man can be as big as hev wants, no problems of human destiny is beryond human being" J.F.Kennedy

(measures i did mention were 17)

like
1. unless the pakistani state craft is conducted withinn the constitutional parameters pakistan will remain vulnerable to extyernal threats.
2. independence of judiciary will strengthen democracy, restore trust b/w the centre & provinces ,& facilitate quick dispension of justice
3. media with its magical power can unite the warring factions by minimizing the differences through open debates.
4. improving efficiency in the public & corporate sectors to provide rule of law.
5. genuine acoountability at all levels will eradicate corruption of all sorts.
6. autonomy to the provinces will realize true democracy
7. awakening of islamic ideolody will lead to an ideal islamic state build-up.

8. CONCLUSIONS.

"life is simple but we insist on making it difficult" Confucius

is it passable ?

Regards.

Although am not by any sense, expert in essay writing, but you have written an essay mainly on "Political Crisis in Pakistan" instead of the original topic. And if you look a bit closely, the original topic does not have any mention of Pakistan, so writing whole essay on Pakistan's situation looks a bit shady to me!

Some senior may be able to guide us both, but if I have to see it, I would consider it a bit out of topic!

I don,t think that you did justice with the statement, even in the introduction. The piece of writing is more like a Pakistan affairs question than an essay. You have elaborated hurdles Pakistan has faced or is facing; which is out of context. Anyhow good luck

Your writing seems to be a short history rather than an essay. It needs a lot of improvement. You need to understand the topic properly and then go for writing.

Understand the topic, collect material from different sources, organise the material and then write on the respective topic.

Whatever I understood from this topic is that this is refers to use of diplomacy. Economy and politics are only tools and you need to link it with international relations.

I may be wrong in understanding the topic, but any senior could guide you and correct me if I am wrong.

Regards
