Personally, i felt a little uncomfortable with the repeated use of the term ' third world' in the outline. I really cant see adequate stress on the terms 'great nations', 'win', 'without fighting'. At places you have mentioned points that hit the core of the essay but those points are under an ambiguous heading e.g. 4.2, 4.3. For me, the points under main heading 5 are valid but the caption 'effect on third world countries' shifts the flow to somewhere else. Had the same sub headings being discussed under a main heading that read ' Effects of fighting' or something like that, that would have been more pertinent to the essay. Point 6 is what i liked the most about your essay.

After reading your outline, i felt like that your essay was not revolving around these keywords. I liked your introductory points.

All those who are interpreting fighting as struggle,just tell me why would the examiner give such a statement which makes no sense.
"great nations win without struggle" seems like an extremely stupid statement.

Because the examiner wants you to write against this extremely stupid statement and not fall into the trap

if he wanted to trap us,he would have given some statement which could be written in favor of.Giving a statement like "everyone is a fool" and assuming that people will write in favor of it and get trapped is not the caliber of CSS essay paper setter.

Why are you asking for the proposition arguments? Does existence of proposition arguments warrant the existence of meaningfulness of the term where only opposition arguments hold true? Go read the whole thread. The struggle in this case means military struggle as well as most of the people who has interpreted the term has included.

My take on this is - The more we squeeze the borders when defining a term, the less we are left with to write on. Its a 2000+ words essay and we cant limit 'fighting' to just 'bombarding' and 'troops'.

If we were to write on 'A hungry man can go to any extreme', we cant just stick to the dictionary definition of a 'man' and make the whole essay revolve around that. The sagacious writer will expand the meaning of a 'man' to a 'man, society, nation etc'.

I will agree that if we keep our focus on just the nation-nation fight and write a comprehensive essay with supportive arguments and examples, it will suffice. But those, who widen the meaning of the term fight and win are doing NO wrong either if their arguments are convincing.

yes,the existence of at least a few proposition arguments warrant the existence of meaningfulness of the term. khair it is another debate. U said it was a trap but the definition of a trap includes a piece of cake or cheese to attract the prey.I am sorry i cannot find an incentive in this statement by your interpretation. that is why i was asking for proposition arguments.

I agree that it depends on the examiner if he finds one's arguments convincing but again,during css 2013 the examiner was very brutal.

Stop getting into it deeper. Just wait. Let the examiner announce what he wanted us to write. :pp

I learnt a lot from members who replied to this thread. We must not care how lengthy a thread gets or why people argument - We must appreciate that people take out time to respond and share their views - and someone like me, learns a lot while debating.
