Default Is it appropriate to write three pages for one scientist?

Assalam-alikum CSPs, Mods, supermodes n aspirants!

I have a question regarding the contribution of the Muslim Scientists.

wanna ask that I have read the Muslim Scientists' contribution in Kashmiri n Imtiaz Shahid's book bt these two book contain very short material on Muslim scientists (only one or half-page) so i used net and finally found the same material which is very good stuff. I have made my own notes and also taken help from CSSForum regarding Muslim Scientists and one scientist's contribution goes on two or three pages.
Is it appropriate to write three pages for one scientist?
It takes 15 minutes to write.
Please suggest me some hints.
Thx

Dear, I respect your comments that we should write their contributions only.
But if u analyze the question from the past papers, it was also asked to give short span of life and two main contributions.
Now the question arises that if u write both of these features, it will go on two or three pages and in my best of knowledge, if one wants to get 5 full marks in EDS, he must write contributions on three pages at least.

E:g

Abu Ali Ibn Sina

Full name ( Two lines)
Short span of life ( One Paragraph)
Contributions (One Page)
Books names with description (1.5 Page )

Please Seniors n Csps especially Sir Arif, Usman Khalid, Nasrullah, Raz, Dr. Zeeshan Hanif tell me the accurate strategy which u followed in 2011.

Regards
Asif Nawaz Abro

Why would you write a 3 page answer for a 5 mark question makes no sense at all. you should manage time wisely. A 1 page answer is good enough provided you briefly mention all the contributions.

As per me, if a question is of 5 marks, it should not exceed the limits of 1.5 to 2 page.

Full name and Place of birth.
Life span.
Contributions.
Books name.
-
For a question of 5 marks, this should be enough.
-
Writing too much might annoy the paper checker.
Plus it looks like one is trying to show off his/her knowledge.
The best strategy for EDS would be to write "to the point"

Muslim Scientists is the least recommended question for EDS paper. Try attempting short answers and other scientific question instead, to gain marks. Although there is no harm in preparing them. This would hep you in MCQs portion. But they don't deserve that much attention in any case. Instead of making notes for these try preparing more scoring questions.

I dont agree with you Artemis. Muslim Scientists occupy great significance in Everyday Science. If you look at the previous papers from 2008 to 2012 and also some papers from 1996 etc There is always one certain question about Muslim Scientists. So it is always recommended to prepare M Scientists, above all 10 marks are not less marks. Another thing. I must share with you about the new trend of the papers, there was question about Muslim Scientists in Muslim History ( Ibn-i-Sina n Ibn-i-Khaldun). So it is blatant that one should completely prepare Muslim Scientists.

Secondly, my mentors have also suggested to write 3 pages in EDS to get at least 8 marks out of 10.

Jabir Ibn Hayan (2001,2011)
Ibn Baitar (2001)

Write briefly about two or more major achievements of each of the following two famous Muslim scientists
this what they ask in css exams." briefly " means there is no limit of pages , but it is important to write comprehensive and to the point. a very common sentence we often use " this is quality which matters ,not quantity ."

Briefly in english means 'short' and 3 pages in no way can be considered short. when the examiners specifically mention 'brief' thn we should write briefly and not all what we know. hence, the achievements should be written in a condensed form.
