Question Confusions about Kashmiri

Kashmiri is a well known book and widely recommended for preparation of EDS. But I am facing few problems in it.

1. The content in it is very limited. For example, the systems of human body or glands etc are not supported by enough explanation or diagrams.

2. It has only 6 chapters which do cover the main topics but is it enough to prepare those 6 chapters.

3. The main question is that am I using the original Kashmiri which have 6 chapters and solved papers.

I am using Rab Nawaz Samoo and Imtiaz Shahid together. Both are nice. Rab Nawaz arranged the things well and Imtiaz Shahid expained better. I read Rab Nawaz and when I need details I switch for that topic to Imtiaz Shahid.

But some seniors insisted that I should use Kashmiri for subjective preparations. Now I don't know what to do. And Rab Nawaz Samo's EDS is a good book. The thing is from Kashmiri's point of view i am left with very little preparation but from other books' point of view there is a lot to cover.

I shall be thankful if somebody would answer my above queries.

Answers depends upon your own satisfaction . If you are satisfied with your preparation and kashmiri's book then it is good . But , if you are not satisfied then at first see the contents of other books and then buy them :-) .

Moreover from EDS point of view , please focus on objective and Mcqs . On this site as you can see many mcqs and objective type material is given . Prepare it , because there are 50 mcqs and from subjective portion short questions resembling objective portion , nearly of 10 to 20 marks are being asked . So , get a hold on objective and dont take that much tension , you have not to cover topic like it is your subject or you are scientist , it is EDS , overview of the topic may work . Stay Blessed .

I had the same problem with kashimiri's book. Some seniors recommended it to me and I bought it. After going through it I was not satisfied. It might have been good at that time but now there are much better books available. I am currently studying from the book by najaf naveed dogar. It is more comprehensive and the explanations are better.

it is getting so frustrated. whenever i ask someone about a book of eds they say buy samo or kashmiri, both are good and its upto you to choose in between them......are you kidding me? how come they both be equal in efficacy? how can you even compare kashmiri with samo. samo is so much lengthy while kashmiri is too much concise. how come both books be of equal calibre?

Well, I read the topic from Kashmiri's book and if I feel like the material in Book is not suffice then I open the same topic in Encarta. When I get the necessary details till it seems like healthy stuff ( Criteria I set is that I will get 5 marks from that material if it comes up in subjective portion) and then move on to the next topic. Cover the past papers in same way , you will feel better about the preparation in sha Allah
