dear you have given link of same website, and my point of view was also same some moons are conformed and some are under observation, but mostly they are counted combinely observing + conformed= total, and I think no one is confused about it.

Dear,
Firstly, you might want to use confirm instead of conform.

Typing error is one time not twice,

Conform= comply with rules/standards
Confirm= establish the truth or correctness of (something previously believed or suspected to be the case).

Secondly, I know I sent the same link but mine had a list showing provisional satellites separately. Still, you are right, link is the same. Now, you said there is no confusion, maybe not for you but by the looks of comments I have seen here, there does seem to be some confusion.

I asked one of my teachers about it - you must not include provisional satellites.

either way ( you include provisional satellites or not) Jupiter is the planet with the most moons. many books mention Saturn as the planet with most moons. which is incorrect.

http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/...Object=Jupiter

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (an official website)

1. Jupiter has 50 known moons, with an additional 17 moons awaiting confirmation of their discovery -- that is a total of 67 moons.

http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/...?Object=Saturn

1. Saturn has 53 known moons with an additional 9 moons awaiting confirmation of their discovery.
If we combine the total number of moons of Saturn, they will be 62, and the number of moons in Jupiter are 67 according to Solar Systems official website (Note1: It is an official site not any teacher's). So, result is cleared Jupiter is the planet with the most moons. We should follow NASA , their official web site.

Dear,
Firstly, you might want to use comply to instead of comply with (prepositional mistake).
Secondly, mine is an objective case of pronoun, mine is not a nominative or subjective case (subjective case of mine is I).
Thirdly, incorrect use of "had" it can't use for single action in a sentence.
Fourthly, "look" is a verb not noun and articles are used before the nouns. (word looks means attractive, pleasing)
Fifthly , etc
And finally, don't concern much to your teacher but we should check it ourselves (for self contentment).
And thanks for catching my errors.

One may think I would argue any further, but it would be juvenile.

You think you are right? Good for you.

Cast pearls before swine

Dear our topic was not English grammar. We were talking about Solar System.
