You are right Dr.In fact it is upon the nature of paper.I mean if paper is current affairs like and very general as was previous year then I think attempting in English is safe option.and if it is about the same ratta stuff like som salaat jihad etc then I think we should attempt in urdu.

I will decide after having a look at paper.

Bonne chance.

candidates in english are always less .2ndly in current pattern margin of writing quranic verses, ahadis, references are very minimal so u cant find a way to do extraordinary in urdu.in current pattern passing islamiyat is game of ideas based on sound knowledge of subject...so english is better option..

i prepared in urdu but i faced new pattern in 2009 for the first time so attempted in english.it was risky decision to decide in examintion room bt i got 63...
and same in 2010 attempt....i attempted in english and i passed again.

well i think its not the question of attempting in urdu or english, and it really doesnt matter...the thing that is important is the command on the language in which u attempt the paper and satisfy the needs of the question...
so i must say please concentrate on your argumnets, raising objections on them and then giving a sound reply...practice it more and inshAllah you will get good marks...
