brother the good practice is to go through syllabus in english and urdu as well because it will provide you some addition into ur english, but attempt your paper in urdu. the reason is that as we are muslim and have enough knowledge regarding islamiyat and some of the wording is difficult to write down in englis. but in urdu it is easy to convey.

Islamiat is high scoring only in which language you can write best. If you write good English it is high scoring or if you can write in urdu it is fine it totally depends upon you not on language what you think easy for you go for it.

@Mohsin1230

It is good to attempt the paper in Urdu because the translation of the Quranic verses in English is a bit difficult and to me it seems to be the wording of Greek or Hebrew language.i was also strong contender of English but changed the mind by hearing from the senior to attempt the paper in urdu.

I attempted the paper in Urdu & suffered a lot due to the same reason: lack of practice writing in Urdu. I haven't decided yet whether to attempt in English or Urdu this time but one thing is for sure; I won't be attempting in Urdu if I don't get the time to practice. Moreover, the sort of paper we had this year, didn't require Quranic verses to be quoted as such. So it was a blunder on my part to attempt in Urdu. I think you should stick to English if you don't get to practice in Urdu.

That's not true at all. You do need verses in Islamiyat paper otherwise what is the difference between current affairs and Islamiyat? You do need verses to justify your point of view in Islamiyat paper, and to substantiate your arguments.

It is much easier to attempt in English. You should prepare the translation of verses in English.

What I meant is that there wasn't any technical question for instance: "aqeeda e toheed ko quran o sunnat ki roshni se wazeh karain" (or something like that where you must quote in any case whatsoever.) I don't remember quoting a single reference from Quran or Hadith in entire paper. I mean that could have made a difference if I had just managed to recall any.

I think there is no absolute answer to this question. ask yourself. solve a past paper's question in both the languages with verses and Ahadees. I m sure at the end you will be able to jot down the problem.

Default to solve the islamiat paper?

Islamiat paper i personally think should be attempted in urdu........as you can produce you views,material in better style and feel ease while attempting the paper........anyhow if someone feel that he is good in english and can write well he can attempt in english.........but urdu can be a good way to make paper done......
