as from my childhood,I've learnt the 5pillars of Islam as

1 The Testimony of Faith
2 Prayers
3 Zakat
4 Fasting and
5 Pilgrimage

and found the same in one of the threads here.

but now while preparing for css,

I've come to know that these 5pillars are

1 Prayers
2 Zakat
3 Fasting
4 Pilgrimage and
5 Jihad

as per the book of Islamic Ideology by S.M.Shahid

now what should I write,if it comes in the paper

Five Pillars of Islam are:

The Testimony of Faith:

The testimony of faith is saying with conviction, “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur rasoolu Allah.” This saying means “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.” The first part, “There is no true god but God,” means that none has the right to be worshipped but God alone, and that God has neither partner nor son. This testimony of faith is called the Shahada, The testimony of faith is the most important pillar of Islam.

Faith, Aqidah or (Belief) is the basic fundamental creed of Islam. Literal meaning of Aqidah according to the scholars of Islam is the firm creed that one`s heart is fixed upon without any wavering or doubt.It excludes any supposition,doubt or suspicion.

The five articles of belief are:

1) Belief in Allah,the one and only one worthy of all worship(Tawhid)

2)Belief in all the Prophets (nabi) and Messengers (Rusul) sent by Allah

3)Belief in the Angels (mali`ka)

4)Belief in the Books sent by Allah including the Holy Quran

5)Belief in the Day of judgment

"O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray. "

Now Five pillars are basically religious rituals of Islam which I stated before.

1) Prayers

2) Saum

3)Zakat

4)Hajj

5)Jihad
