In the paprers like Pakistan Affairs, Current Affairs, Essay, etc if a candidate wants to write against the government, what should he do? whether to write against or not?

you can approach the whole issue in an all together different way

if you have a point to make which is based on some convincing and cogent arguments and which is expected to have a slautary impact on the examiner, then go ahead with it

however, if you just feel like criticizing the government or for that matter anyone else, just for the sake of criticism, then that is not advisable

you should not lose site of the wood for the trees, .......so you should always be focused on the larger objectives...getting a group of your choice by scoring good marks in both the written and viva, irrespective of the fact that you are criticizing someone or praising someone

hope it would give you a clearer picture of the situation

@ ibrahim_ceg
The all i understand from your post is this that a person may write against with powerful and persuasive arguments?
suppose we have to write on kala bagh dam, as the current water & power Minister has said that the chapter of kala bagh dam has been closed. And a candidate writes in favour of kala bagh dam by mentioning its benefits and tries to prove that minister's decision is not correct. suppose if he writes all well in favour of kala bagh dam then what will be the decision of examiner/paper checker in marking? as there are many other options rather than kala bagh...... and if the examiner belongs to the current government, than what he will do?

criticism should be constructive, not destructive and radical.it must be leading to reformation.

In this example I would suggest you to:
First give your point of view,
then your logic behind that viewpoint (with facts & figures)
showing the current scenario, what would happen if it is built and what if it isn't built,
then compare it with other alternatives given by different forums & surveys,
then give a view of the ethnic divide prevailing among provinces with a bit of history and their concerns,
then analyze whether those concerns are percieved or genuine,
and then give the final verdict that whether you are in favour or against the construction of Kalabagh dam.
(a few details may be added or rearranged)

If you give your answer in such a coherent and lucid manner, I am pretty hopeful that the examiner will give you good marks.

I wish you qualify with flying colours...!

first of all we must find an alternative to kalabagh dam type controversial questions.
but,
if v hv no alternative, v should present govt's point of view.it will be quite helpfull.bcoz if u do so, it means that u believe in what govt is doing, and i think that it is a positive sign.

Very rightly stated by fellows that criticism can be given against government but with strong logics/facts. But as said by Dr Malik, the criticism should never be given against Quaid-e-Azam, our independence struggle and Pakistan.

As far as Kalabagh Dam is concerned, follow what Arif Rao has said. But keep in mind that the project of Kalabagh dam has been rolled back because of political issues instead of technical issues. Kalabagh dam needs to be constructed but after taking each stakeholder on board.
