Its the best recommended book..u can study other books along with it..i found Trek to Pakistan good one...

1. Pakistan: The Formative Phase by K. B. Saeed 2. The Struggle for Pakistan by I. H. Qureshi. These are very good for the pre-partition, for post-partition latest current affairs magazines with The Military and Politics in Pakistan 1947-97 would do a great job. But in CSS Pak Affairs paper is all about pre-partition.
