lol shocked too...because I had no idea what the questions were all about in IR yet I scored 112.
On the other hand my psychology paper was pretty impressive but got 9 in it

When we do not prepare well in any subject in css examination then we use our own brain and produce creative writing. New concept come up in our mind that never have published by any author. New concepts, new ideas, new theories, new example and new perspective lead up to good marks in css examination. Thus, you score good in International Law. On the other hand, people who scored 9 or 10 or 5 in thier papers might produce plagiarize material in their papers. Hence, they scored less.

I think it depends more on the mood of FPSC. If they have made mind of rewarding any subjects every other person will be scoring good in that subject. Take for example GS. People who even wrote crammed knowledge from Amanullah Gondal's book got more than 50. On the other hand, if they have decided to butcher any subject then only GOD can help you.

I disagree. Even for new ideas about a subject to write in exam, one must have a good grip on basic concepts.

Secondly, the checking criteria of CSS papers other than Essay is just arbitrary. I feared that I would flunk in Gender Studies but rather was awarded highest marks of all the subjects. And I know that in 2 out 4 answers, I wrote plain bullshit. Just managed to fill all the papers of the answer book. Whereas in subjects, that I was confident that I have attempted remarkably well, was declared fail.

So, in the end, notion that CSS is an exam that judges intelligence is just a hoax. The exam structure is totally outdated and checking criteria is completely flawed.

In CSS, one's attempt is like "Chal gaya to chand tk wrna shaam tk"
