Default Instructions on Roll Number/Entry Statement

Hello fellows, since most of us have been receiving our roll number statements, I did mine today. I was reading through the instructions and several things concerned me.

1) Casual dress such as shorts, what else is included in "casual"? Jeans? Tee-Shirts?

8) Condition number 8, tells candidates to be vigilant of suspected people, the term used is expected to "remain" vigilant, which would mean during the entire course of the examination, but I doubt us being vigilant and keeping a "watchful" eye will be much appreciated by the invigilators

12) Condition number 12 says, if you attach any loose sheets, attach them to your answer book as securely as possible, Do not write your name or roll number on any loose sheet. If candidate is found to have written his/her Roll number, name anywhere inside the answer book, or on the additional sheet, he/she will be awarded Zero Marks, besides any punishment the Commission may impose.

Now, I wanted to ask regarding this condition, I can understand how writing your name is not allowed (even though the whole world has access to your roll numbers and names, because the list was download-able through the internet), but writing roll number on extra sheet is not allowed, why? I remember during O Level, A level and LLB, there were specific instructions, emphasizing that Roll No, MUST be written on extra sheets, because they might come loose or get misplaced, and then there would be no way of knowing whose is it.

And the most important of all, is the paragraph on the top of the instructions page. The Commission is eager to put the risks on your shoulder, for everything. It says that if upon complete scrutiny, you are found ineligible, then your candidature will be canceled. Then it goes on to say if your application is in-complete in any respect, you are advised to do the needful immediately without waiting for a communication from the Commission.

Now I want to ask, since most of us apply on DMS and not final degree, we are told that we can submit the full degree etc later on, but here the Commission says our candidature might be terminated. Secondly they advise us to complete any file without waiting for the Commissions communication, how are we supposed to do that? I do not want my candidature to be canceled, God Forbid!

Answers will be greatly appreciated.

I guess seniors would be able to guide you, but I think the most obvious solution would entail you calling up the Commission and letting them know of the issue right now, and yes, it can create problems in the future.

Sumaira i think you should better make a phone call to FPSC and ask for the correction procedure. I think you will have to report it to them and they will send you a new roll number slip with correct spellings or tell you what to do.

Dear, this is because once the exam is conducted the FPSC encodes all the roll numbers. These encoded serial numbers are replaced with the seat numbers. The papers are sent to checker with this encoded number so that the checker may not be approached or influenced. It is easier for them to designate one place for the roll number & restrict rest of the paper for writing your name & roll number.
