To be exact there are 17 KPK candidates in top 50. and KPK quota has 14 seats from good groups ie dmg, psp, fsp, pcs, irs, paas etc (15 if MLCG is good too).

Last year open merit seats were allocated to merit range 60 to 120 or 130. There are only 10 KPK and 50 punjabian candidates from 50 to 120.

So I think 9 open merit seats for KPK (and 8 for punjab and rest of the provinces) is an over estimation.

baat tu sahi lagti hay... so punjab open merit seats 8 and open merit quota 92. total 100. so no allocation for me as i m 105th?

Firstly, As some women higher in merit order in punjab will get seats on women quota in PSP, DMG, FSP, IRS, PCS... My guess is that atleast 5 women ahead of 100th merit no. will be allocated on women quota in punjab...
So this means our merit will surely improve in punjab...

Secondly, some candidates will not join civil services, thus leaving more room for lower merit holders...

dear this repeators who,ll not join are not more than 3 to 4....as per my careful estimate..last year there were 4 making room for four more candidates of punjab down the list...

Dear U're sure in the game, u'll get allocation :))

last year i got allocation in 2nd list .....so according to my calculations last male candidate of punjab ,ll be around 150 merit overall ( in 1st list).....
