querry regarding revising prefernces before interview
before interview we get the opportunity of revising our preferences ,in case someone's expecting less marks and in order to enhance chances of allocation changes the preferences order given at the time of admission in such a manner that few lower merit groups occupy 3rd or 4th spot..........does this create any bad impression on the interview panel or do we get questioned for revising our pref. ????

Change of preference has nothing to do with allocation. Irrespective of the preference order of the candidate, he/she will only be allocated if he/she falls on the merit of that particular group. If one doesn’t fall in that group, one will automatically continue to be looked for allocation in lower order preference groups until one gets allocated. If a candidate selects only one group (e.g DMG) as his first preference and doesn’t select other groups, now if he/she doesn’t fall on the merit of DMG, he will not be allocated irrespective of the fact he could have been allocated to any other group if its preference had been given. Overall women quota is 10%. For example, if there are 300 seats, 30 will be reserved for women. Some percentage of this will be on open merit and other will be distributed among provinces as per provincial quota for women. Being 16th among all over Pakistan means that she is the 16th woman on merit in Pakistan. Now if she doesn’t fall under overall open merit, she may compete on women quota.

This perception of yours is wrong regarding the revision of preferences. It doesn't make any difference if you have lesser marks(for example you are falling in OMG merit wise) while u had DMG as your first preference. You will in any case get the group which coincides your merit. But if you have FSP as your first preference, and even if you have a score which qualifies you for the top group e.g DMG,you shall still go to FSP because that's what you opted for.Writing lower groups on top wouldn't increase your chances of allocations.
Regarding this second querry, therez a 10% women quota given to every province. For example,If Punjab has 100 seats, then 10 additional seats would be given to Punjab as women quota. These 10 seats would be spread over the occupational groups.Like for example this year,Punjab has 2 DMG women quota seats, and 1 PSP women quota seat.A total of 10 seats are there this year.It works in a complez way but I would try to explain. This year, the DMG quota of Punjab ends at 38th,40th merit number(Pakistan merit number that is).So if there is a woman in top 38 from Punjab, and has DMG as her 1st preference, she gets the DMG seat of Punjab quota. After these Punjab DMG seats are extinguished, the DMG women quote seats come into play. Thus the first two women with DMG preference would now get these seats. To make it more clear, this year,2 out of these three women(Sehar,Hafsa or Xenia, all in 40s and 50s) are going to get these women DMG seats.Hope I have explained it.

it means half of quota reserved according to group preference(as xenia and sehar...) and half is reserved when total seats are extinguished as 4 Punjab if 100 seats are reserved then next 10 would be fall in to women quota??????
