...I attempted css-2011 and it went well though two three papers dented my hopes of scoring well.......result is not out yet but to quench the inner thirst of performing exceptionally well in all papers and to brighten my chances of getting allocated to the departments of my choice should i plan to attempt css-2012 ????

I would suggest that you should take the attempt of 2012. Because the result will be declared around sep/oct ( tentative) Inshallah if you clear the interview process and all will be finalized by april/may. Final merit list will come in about june. May all go well, but it is possible that one gets cleared in all but does not get allocation.

As, you still have age for all three attempts, I would suggest you start preparing for the next attempt. God forbid, but if you need to take the 3rd attempt, that you can do after a gap of one year.

The earlier that you clear CSS the better it is, because at the end age becomes vital as to who will end up being at the top in BS-22.So, its better doing early and joining early.

Also, as there are rumors of syllabus and pattern change. No such change has been notified as yet, which sort of indicates that 2012 exam will be conducted on same pattern. So, better take attempt with same sort of preparation.
