MUSK:
Do you have any info about PCS for KP, or is it just your hope ?
With 5 Customs seats and a quota of 11.5% , KP will get a customs seats every other year. Last year, KP had a customs seat.

Secondly, kindly confirm third preference of Sadia Usman; I believe it's not FSP.

Imran is not going to give up PSP for FSP.

Asma Hamayun of postal will surely join IRS.
M. Abdullah is not going to give up MLCG. ( confirm)
And Chance for KP to have MLCG seat this year is next to impossible.
There are 2 seats of MLCG for PAKiStan.

Sorry for two posts of same nature. Ignore my mistakes, its hard to do such stuff on a cell.
Anyway, I don't think anyone besides Abdullah is serving in MLCG.
And if there is anyone, I dont think he'll give up MLCg for OMg. But this is how I think; everyone has his own priorities, likes and dislikes.
Last year, a girl from KP, who could easily have DMG, had MLCg as her first prefence.
PS: serving CSPs in my family are of the view that it is an irrational decision to give up an established business( est. 2008) for civil services.
Two guys, family friends, who have resigned when they were Deputy Commissoners ( DMG of 90s) because they thought they could do better in other occupations. So, what I'm trying to say is that I can't speak on behalf of others. Everyone has his own preferences; we can merely make conjectures which are based on our own mind-set.

Again it is about your priorities.
In my view OMG is better in longer run. In grade 20-21, PAS and OMG are almost overlapping.
Joint Secretary establishment is grade 20 OMG, Secretary is from DMG.
Chief Secretary of AJK is grade 21 DMG, Additional Chief Secretaey is of OMG( surely of grade 19 )
Deputy Secretaries in grade 18 are from OMG as well as DMG.
Whereas Postal is surely a chill job. No work, have fun. But little room for advancement, mental as well as material.
And , by the way, in it's very original sense, the real bureaucracy is OMG.

And dude, remember one thing, everything that glitters is not gold.
You need contacts if you want good posts even I'm DMG. Another family friend, a vey introvert man, of 19 scale, serving in DMG hasn't got a single key post ( like DCO) yet.
Another man, PCS officer, scale 17 had been DCO of a big district of KP.
So, it's all on your aptitude and personality to make heaven out of hell and vice versa.

And for me CSS is either DMG or Customs.
DMG in longer run and customs in a myopic sense.

Guys these are probable seats for provinces ...
Punjab 99
Sindh 38
Kpk 23
Merit 15
Balochistan 12
NAFATA 8
AJK 4

Total : 199
Armed: 8

Kpk seats ....
Paas 2
Irs 5
Pas 4
Psp 2
Omg 6
Fsp 3
Postal 1

If omg=5, then pcs 1.
These calculation are done to 2 decimal level.

Moreover, every province would have 10% women quota out of their own seats.
Best Regards, Usman Kakakhel.

Usman:
For the sake of naive like me, would you please explain PCS for KP.
PS: FATA didn't have PCS in 2010 and 2011 and I still do not expect it this year.
So , would like to know if there is any possibility.

@ AWAIS
Just saw in another thread your query about my merit no. In KP.
Bro, I do not belong to KP.
