Hey folks ..... good to c some familiar names here ..... How are u clocks ...
My input.... we're well past the slumber time and theres no other option but to opt in Its all good sba .... you bet theyd all have framed answers for iraq, afg and the rest of the trouble zones but if theres one question id lose sleep over, it'd have hardly anything to do with international not-so-pleasant politics.... Sajid Manzoor Ahmed .... what went wrong dear? |

Nopesie .... Me K-ite .... phew ... and thank god for that .... you guys sure have reason to freak out ....
Preps awful .... I could get hold of only a couple of people who had made it through to the interviews ..... and frankly they werent much help .... Guess it all boils down to your own experience on the given day .... the panelists .... their fields of interest .... their moods ..... their relationships with the wives and kids at home .... you cant have everything going your way now can u How are you going about it? |

Becuz sis u saw the quetta list ? Id rather call it a wish list. Only 11 went through. They didnt have much to kick out. They'll get to do so much of muscle flexing in Punjab .... True u have the lion's share when it comes down to the quota system .... but if i see such a huge crowd outside the interview venue .... im sure to have cold feet But hey ... thats just me and my own reasoning ... you are always welcome to enlighten me

First @ Raskolnikovian, One should believe in luck too and I am of the view that CSS made u more n more believe in Fate. Secondly, there are not only those 11 candidates from Balochistan but many are appearing from Lahore and other centers as well. @Clockwise, It usually happens as there is no special way to prepare yourself for the interview but try ur best to cover different areas of the interview and psychological tests. All the best, Sajid. |

Regarding Iraq, as the Baker-Hamilton report is published, the only solution of this problem lies with the Phased withdrawl (areawise) after handing over the control of the area to local authorities. No other solution is possible in the sitution prevelant there. Iraqies has adopted the unique way to get rid of the foreign occupied forces by killing each other. There is a death rate of average 300 or so people daily while on the other hand there are only 3000 deaths of American soldiers occured since their invasion in 2003. Future of Iraq is in the hands of the citizens of Iraq, there is no foreign power or authority even the Syria or Iran can't implement peace without the involvement and wishes of the civilians of Iraq. All the best, Sajid. |

Mr. Manzoor Ahmed
Cannot agree more .... By the by, does anyone remember Omar Khayyam's moving finger verse Mr. prez has cited in his autobio ..... Rask thought it was beautiful As for my Quetta comment ... Im afraid we're reading just a bit too much into it. It was a passing comment .... Still, I wouldnt mind responding .... without the slightest intent of starting a useless debate considering the sensitivity of the issue Im aware that people based in one region may appear for CSS from elsewhere but i wasnt referring to these exceptions. Becuz u c ... when u take into account candidates of Quetta appearing from Lahore or other places, u cannot ignore by the same standard all candidates of Lahore who appear from other parts of the country. And if u add to this extensive list, all those who, for obvious reasons, pretend to be from Lahore or Punjab for that matter when they have absolutely nothing to do with the province, the picture doesnt get any rosier. Kher, that doesnt make any of us in the other provinces any less immune to the rigors of the dreaded interview. We're all in same boat bro whether we like it or not. Good Luck .... |

well it looks Ras is too big a philospher and one of those who have really done best preparations and justy visit this site to relax and do chit chat, well Mr. Ras would you please donont mind and if possibe give some useful thoughts pertaining to material; yes the material of interview.
well Sajid my interview is in the jan and it looks that i am least prepared for that, well lets start with Iraq; it's a burning question. although we all must be reading aboout it but whats the real options left for US Like :- 1) Pulling out troops immedaietely. 2) wiating yet for another year so so. 3) handing over the country to the newly crippled iraqi security forces. 4) Dividing the countrt into three parts with Kurds in the North west, Shais in tyhe south and Sunnis in the center and western part. 5)Deploying international security forces like Afghanistan on the paatern of ISAF to normalize the situation but how. Sajid the figures u gave are very good, but what you think about US options, there is agroup sayng theat the option for leaving or staying in Iraq for US is of no use as Iraqis would continue to fight with one another as After Saddam the socio-culturla paatern of Iraq has been destabilized but in order to form a comprehensive solution to the problem in Iraq we must have some solid and little different solutions. well waiting for your reply. regards, Ali |

. That calls for a whole new debate ..... Whats with men with inflated egos .... so inflated at times that they and up confusing a sweet-talking woman for a bimbo .... or , as in this case, a plain-talking woman for a "Mr." Its always very intriguing .... Another time perhaps ..... Wesey on a more serious note ..... I would normally be a litte more careful before making offhand remarks about people's general proclivities ... Trust me it helps .... Lets take an example .... at least i would know upon observation that lounging around and a little bit of chit-chatting should come in naturally to a woman .... U wouldnt catch Socrates and his disciples doing too much of that, would u? And its perhaps because I dont have these grandiose notions of being a grandiose philosopher that i dont talk like one .... Anyways ... Im done for today ... do carry on with your rather insightful discourse on the I-Question.... |
