plz help me regarding command task, how to handle it? bcoz i dont know the job specification of various department and who report to who.
then how to tackle it.do reply

Command Task is the test of your ability to manage situations in limited period.The situations can be different and can be related to different groups or can be multi dimensionary, for eg. A hostage situation in a third country involving your citizens.Disaster in far flung area.Tax evasion, custom duty problem, press handling and many more.

TIPS:

1. Assume the role of leader.(Dont be rude or strict with members)
2. Think naturally that which solution will be best.You will be given 10-15 mins to think the solution to your problem before the command task.(Avoid using forceful measures).
3.Explain the problem to your colleagues.Omit unnecessary details and make a precise of it.The problem should be simplified into not more than 5 sentences.
4. Seek suggestions.(Dont let the others eat away the time since you will have only 8 mins.Give all of them a min or so to give suggestion then politely move on to next member)
5. Incorporate the workable suggestions and then present your solution.


No prior knowledge of civil service needed.Just act like one there and you will find no problem.Be courteous with the other Group members.Do not force your opinion on them.Just tell them.if they agree then its good but if they do not then add one or two of their valid suggestions( there would be many off course) and announce your decision because you are the decision maker and the onus of that decision will lie on you.They are just there to help you reach a decision.
