AOA

Though I'm a junior member of this forum yet I would suggest you to join academy for your Psychology and Viva test. where you have done that much hard work and passed the written portion, now its the time to strike the last nail in the coffin. I'm having classes from an academy and believe me, these are very helpful. They also arrange for interview preparation, so you will get a chance to interact with other written qualifiers and thus to asses yourself. so buddy... do it; otherwise, though you might get your soul out of confusion yet you will make it rest in peace......That's what I think..

Well Helper, I can suggest few things for your Psychological test as being degree holder in Psychology. According to my knowledge they must apply some psychological tests like TAT (Thematic Aperception Test), HTP (House Tree person Test), and RISB (Rotter Incomplete Sentence Blank Test). These tests will be there with some variations according to our society. So you have to go through them for this reason you can consult Psychological Testing by Marnet. One more thing must be an active member of discussion, it will add your points. And participate with sound arguments by proper referencing.

They will ask questions about your optionals throughout your academic career so prepare well to answer it. For Interview this time go through Musharaf's "In the Line of Fire" and find some review of the book and also go through the consequences of Musharaf's visit to USA. And some recent issues like inter-provincial autonomy, Balochistan issue, Bugti's Assasination and all that, they can ask what you will make if you r at the place, so you have to master suggestions for improving the conditions.

In the light of above discussion you can track your preperation for Interview. yea as far as the academy is concerned "Officers Academy" or "KIPS" can be the best choice. First one has an edge on the other. Well the advanatages of joining an academy can be many.
  1. It will help you disccussing current issues with great depth.
  2. It will train you for psychological test
  3. You will acquint yourself with other qualifiers and it helps you later.

I hope that all will prove helpful for you.

Best Wishes

Jinnah Library is really a good option. I visited it in the month of July but its more helpful when you are able to make a group and the group is active one. So if you are able to make it, its more then anything else. So must go for it.

You are very right thats y I said it will be a real help if you r able to make a helping group otherwise it will waste your time. No doubt rarely ppl get agree to help other caz everyone become bit mean for his/her post.

Definately every individual differs according to the calliber of mind, some need little time to understand and some require more so no one will wait for you to get the idea they are discussing. Rather they will skip it. So its better to prepare in solitude but group will help you to place yourself where are you standing among the group of qualifiers. So it will initiate a motive for more learning. You can spent little time with them dont go for 10 to 12 hrs. In few days you can make an opinion that its useful for you or not, then you can decide it.

Best Wishes

@Helper

sorry for replying late.
Well... I'm going to KIPS. Every now and then toppers from the previous batches come and help the aspirants; and of course teachers are also there. I've no experience regarding interview preparation classes but one thing I can assure you is, the motivating environment.
and about Officers Academy; I've heard a lot about it but have got no concrete information.
