Default Plato’s communism of property:

Plato’s communism of property:
Plato communism is for the whole society but not by the whole society:
it is aristocratic in nature.
it is imposed on the best few for all the members.

Plato communism extend to the guardian class and meant for both sexes.
The producing or appetite class is exempted from it

Reasons as to why plato contrived communism?

To purge them (guardian class) from worldly temptations ,since that will distract them from their duty to the state.

The guardian class had to lead the life of austerity rather than that of luxury.life of self deniel

Political offices were captured to promote economic interests:
So far as communism of property was concerned . it was solely designed for rulers those who serve the state. The time he was preaching such a philosophy athens was ruled by selfish rulers who were good at nothing except for furthering their own economic interests.
Communism of property was solely designed for rulers:
Political offices were captured for this end in view.
The rulers were grinding their own axes callous to the interests of the masses.
Given the circumstances plato came to the conclusion that there should be no link between political office and promotion of economic interest of the rulers it was this motivating factor that plato in his book republic devised such a scheme in which rulers are kept away from such greed .

The duty of the rulers is unconditional service to the masses at large

another reason for such a philosophy was to
bring about unity in the state
athens of his days was divided into rich and poor . this endangered the unity of the state
