dear sabahat mam....
im quite new to this forum n geography as well. i m going to appear in css 2013 n im in great confusion from where i shjould take start for geography. i hv intented to opt the subject coz i hv heard it iz marks gaining subject.
would u please guide me for the start n tips as i hv heard thet some maps n demography is necessary for it

welcome to the world of css forum. yes its a marks gaining subject if you prepare it properly without going for short cuts.

plz view this and if you feel confuse again than let me know.

no maps are not necessary and yes data counts in paper 2.

n also tell me that will all ov these books be available at punjab public liberary and quaid e azam library?

ok, if you want to start from the very basics then go for physical geography book for graduation classes(i mean degree classes) by Mian Muhammad Anwar. it will clear your basic concepts. after raeding this book then you can go for strahler and other foriegn authors for your notes. yes these books are easily available in all libraries even they are in my uni (islamic)library. if you couldnt find it then buy it, its not very expensive. it will help you alot in your notes making process.

i've been through the whole thread since im also 2013 aspirant and opting geography seemed quite a tough decision to me and after viewing this thread i'm more than satisfied with my decision . All im tangled in is the confusion about the physical geography.

i've passed MBA and am looking fwd to give my best shot in the first attempt yet i am confused ... i've decided to purchase physical geography book by STRAHLER , physical geo by deblij i need to know the book which covers some facets of pakistan's geography aswell.. im lost in the threads of recommended books and now i cannot make it getting the names

of those books ...

i need ur assistance
i'll be thankful!
