Irfan here, i have just decided to appear for CSS 2010 with optional subjects of Acounting & Auditing and English Literature. I have done MBA Finance but my concepts of accounting not as much strong as ACMA or others. But have a very good idea of accounting terms. So with efforts i beleive that i will do it. Currently i am working as Assistant audit Officer in BPS 16. So please let me know that:

How much scores are promised by the subject
What is the level of the paper
In my case, should i be able to score 150 plus
how much time and standard of prepareation should be targeted
What ooks should be consulted

i ve done MBIT (Finance). accounting is my fav subject but while choosing subjects for CSS i didnt find any help regarding Accounting & Auditing. i really want to have this subject as my optional if i get the proper Guidenance.

i ve opted jornalism, sociology, IR, Indo pak, Business add.

i want to replace indo pak as i dunt have interest in history subjects.

you can have a much better answer for most of your question by exploring the different sections of the forum and reading out different views. Individual guidance is based on individual experience and that may or may not work for you

However in my opinion, joining an academy is ok but you should not feel that it is vital.

Best way to decide on opting or not opting a subject, in my opinion is to take a look at all the past papers and hopefully you'll have a much better idea if you can go with it or not. If you want to replace Indo-Pak with Accounting and Auditing ...... I think you should first take a look at the past papers and then decide.

Hello Everyone.

I have recently Completed my MBA in Finance from SZABIST karachi. I am very good in Accounting, but out of practice Due to other 30 courses in MBA program.

I have completed my B.Com in First Division, Having 92% Marks in Cost Accounting. And in MBA, Only One Course from Thirty (30) Obtained 94% marks in Cost Accounting.

Problem is, I think, am not having that solid grip on Accounting Subject now, Kindly Advice me, Should i start get Tuitions again for Accounting, If yes where near Clifton or Defence Karachi, OR Hyderabad Recommend me any Good Teacher ? or Should i start Group Study ?
