Default facatory overhead variance

If factory overhead is based on physical output instead of labor hours, how will factory overhead variances be calculated then. If anyone can please write the formula for them, it will be really appreciated.

This type of question came in 2003 past paper.

Default Which variance??

Dear here we have three sort of variances given below

i) Spending/Budgeted/Expenditure variance
ii) Idle/Capacity/volume variances
ii) Overall variance /Under or over applied FOH

Just tell me which type of variance you want us to elaborate, ???????? i will try to help you
