Pakistan has three stock exchanges
Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) KSE 100 index
Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) LSE 25 Index
Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) ISE 10 Index

Lahore and Islamabad Stock Exchanges started mutual trading which is termed as UTS (Unified Trading System)

Only shares of listed companies are traded in stock exchange.

Companies have STOCKS or SHARES, which are EXCHANGED in stock markets or stock exchanges. Yes these companies need to get registered in stock markets so that there shares can be exchanged/traded in those markets.

Had the moderator replied or, at least, had referred me to any link regarding my above post, instead of deleting the following one, it would've been the most admirable help of me. Sadly, since last few months or so, it is being felt that most of the moderators are left with this job, of deleting posts, only.

1) Shares of these companies are sold in order to gain more capital. Dividend is given on these shares in case of profits. Shares can be created by the companies when more capital is required.
2) when more trading is done in stock exchange it shows that more people are interested in buying rather than selling. When more buying is made instead of selling it cause the stock exchange to gain more points. Usually the companies making more profits have higher value of their shares, foreigners invest in any country by seeing the progress of stock exchange of that country. As more points in the stock exchange shows more profit potential in that country so more investments are made/

I have answered the first two queries.
Valuation of a currency
As all the international trade is done is dollars, so rupees are converted into dollars in case of imports when buyings are made from other countries. And dollars are converted into rupees in case of exports ie sellings to other countries. If more exports are made and foreign remittances are more frequent then the demand for dollar decreases and value of rupee increases and vice versa. As now a days we have unfavorable balance of trade(more imports as compared to exports) so demand for dollar is high and the value of rupee is decreasing day by day. There are other factors also for devaluation of a specific currency, but this is one of the major factors.

Issuance of new shares is not related to the profit at all. However there is restriction on maximum number share to be issued by a specific company. This restriction is imposed by Secp.
