The stock exchange is a market for the resale of second hand securities.it is an organized and regulated market for the purchase and sale of listed shares for investment or for speculative purposes.

in my personal opinion market collapsed due to certain reasons which i experinced during my business activities in KSE market...others may differ

1.Brokers are main players in the field of stock exchange. They have huge capital in their hands...when they want to influence the market in specific shares they start purchsing that particular shares continauously due to that reasons the market value of shares increased...when people see that shar's value increaing they start purchasing....at that time brokers sell their all shares in hand due that reason the market value of share slumps down....it leads to market collapse

2.Country's circumsatnces are also main player in this regard

3.Govt policies also take their toll

4.Brokers ke bhag jany se bhi collapse hota ha jb wo apny account holders ke shares sale ke k mulk se bhaag jaty hain...etc

First of all u dont need to hav commerce background for knowing stock exchange
In simple words stock market is a market where stocks i.e. shares of corporations are sold and bought. Brokers are the agents which buy and sell those shares for investors, means middle man. Directly one cant trade in market.
Market collapse means fall down of market i.e. sudden fall of rates due to many reasons. Few of them r stated in above message. Few others include, company decisions, their profits, losses, announcements, collations, political situation, oill prices, means every factor related to money directly or indirectly affects stock market, and market collapses if any major event occur.

Ahan.. stocks r shares of corporations, means companies which sell their shares to public are corporations. Like PIA, PTCL, SSGC, sugar mills, PSO, PPL all these r companies which r listed in stock markets and people buy and sell there shares. So no question is why do they buy and what do companies get from it and what do individuals get from it?

In simple language companies present there shares in market for raising/collecting money from people, which they invest in their business, and declare give people the ownership of company to that no. of shares. shares are actually parts of company which they sale in stock exchange. So, now when company hav some profit and loss on closing accounts, that will be propegated to owners too in form of dividends i.e. profit and bonus shares.

Now talk about brokers:
Brokers too are companies which get licence to buy and sell directly in stock markets. So they buy and sell on our behalf and get their commission on every transaction they make. For trading we hav to get an account in brokrage house and using money in that account we can trade.

Brokers are middle level companies which take money from people and buy shares for them in stock market. They hav access to stock market directly.

Corporations are companies which r listed in stock exchange. Means companies whose shares r available in market for trading.

Means brokers buy shares of corporations.
