GDP is the gross domestic product. It is the total value of goods and services produced within an economy in a year.

GNP (gross national product) is the total value of goods and services produced by the nationals of a country in year. So the GNP of Pakistan will include the value of goods and services produced by a Pakistani company in Japan but it will not include the value of goods produced by a Japanese company in Pakistan.

GNP = GDP - (value of income from foreign assets) + (value of income from local assets that are abroad)

Hope that clears the concept.

Real national income is income adjusted for inflation. It can happen that a country produces the same amount of output as it did last year but its GDP increases due to an increase in the prices of that goods. Real national income will take into consideration the change in prices and hence will reflect the true picture of change in output.
