i did my ba in eco, math and stat.... i am appearing in 2014 with economics as an optional... i think this is how you need to prepare:

from paper A first prepare MACROECONOMICS, PUBLIC FINANCE and MONEY AND BANKING from K.K. dewitt modern economic theory ... once you have done these only then you can analyze and interpret Pakistan economics... and i can assure you Pakistan economics will give you a real head ache if you cannot study and interpret ECONOMIC SURVEYS OF PAKISTAN... i have only opted for economics because i know, by luck, a PhD FINANCE who is helping me in my preparation, otherwise i would leave it even now... do not go for the paper a half boiled economist... if you want to test yourself, answer this question: WHAT ARE THE SOURCES OF AGRICULTURAL GROWTH? simple right??? find the answer and do let me know
