Default Goldstein or Brown? Which book should I read first?

AoA dear brothers and sisters! I am starting my preparation for International Relations and I have several ebooks with me, two of which I have seen being recommended by a lot of people here, namely International Relations by Joshua Goldstein and Understanding International Relations by Chris Brown.

I wanted to know which of these books should I read first? And do I need to read both of them or read one and consult with other?

I will really appreciate your help

Well for my ce-2016 i went for "International Relations by Joshua Goldstein" The concepts are explained in a detailed and easy way. This book will help you grasp the initial concept with much ease and after getting the know how with the theories only then go for other books.

What other books did you use? Will this book suffice on its own, for the theory part?

All theories of IR (Realism, liberalism, feminism, marxism etc) are explained with examples. So this book is enough for theory part. Other than books i went for videos on youtube ( it was a big help especially for IR part 2)

Other than Goldstein i also studied "The Globalization of World Politics: An
Introduction to International Relations" by John Baylis
