Default Is Political Science worth taking as an optional?

Hello All,

I am new member and this is my first post, need some help from all of you.

My educational background is as following:
1)MBA (Supply Chain)

I planning to take political science as an optional, I am little bit confused.

1)Is this subject worth opting?
2)Is it scoring?
3)Considering my background I have no prior experience to this subject. 4)Would you suggest me to take this subject as an optional?
5)Which books would you suggest?
6)Which were the various sources for the preparation for the Political
Science?

Anything else I need to know before opting this subject please feel free to comment and advice.

@sunny3000

dear your educational backgroud is MBA....and also u have no basis in political science so my first advise for u would be to skip it and opt journalism and sociology from that group...bcoz comparing to pol science these are easy and scoring also.....my pol science papers were very fine in css 2008 but i scored just 102.

tc.

well i don't think i will be able to opt any of those subjects this is because the optional subjects i am taking are getting me into a deadlock.

My optional are:
1)Islamic Law (Jurisprudence)
2)Public Administration
3)Geography
4)Political Science

If I chose not to select political science, then that means ill be left with a deficit of 200 marks, and Journalism or Sociology are both of 100 and cannot be opted together am I correct? Could you be kind enough to help me out here, I was probably thinking of European History what do you say?

Look at your choices, what are you interested in. IF its just marks you want, you will be wasting your time with political science. it requires indepth analysis and has much more varied subjects to cover than either of the two alternatives mentioned. While Political Science has been a good scoring subject, so have been the other two.

The rules say that you can opt only two hundred marks from a group of subjects. Political Science, Sociology and Journalism are all combined in the same group. So you have your pick. Political Science alone is of 200 marks. Choose that, and there can be no other subjects from this group. Choose either journalism or Sociology, and you can opt for another 100 marks subject from this group whatever you want it to be.

@ Vivre sa vie sans regret

Thanks for the suggestion, i will definitely keep it in mind, its just that I have no prior experience of Journalism or Sociology also, so if you look at it from my perspective. I'll have to start from the scratch, do you really think they are easy and scoring subjects ?

well i dont know about the easy part....nothing is easy or tough...its all in perspective....you have to work hard for some and for some you can manage to cut corners.....plus its about ones own bent of mind....some like one subject and take naturally to it....others other subjects.

Cutting to the chase...none of these were my subjects....neither sociology nor journalism....so cant really help you in there, though Pol Science was. Maybe someone else can guide you.

For starters i would suggest you try the political science pages on the forum.
