AOA,

I'd suggest you to prepare it section vise and then solve past papers available. For QKGhori's book study it several times and try to just understand. After 2,3 times you'll have no problem in it, and try solving problems by yourself first and avoid using notes.

Best of luck!

Regards.

In my view it's a wrong practice, as paper is not going to be set from this book so you must understand examples and should solve the exercise yourself. I've no helping book for it.

@marycop

Don't be depressed. Things do become difficult at times during CSS preparation. Just relax. Remember practise makes the man perfect. Q.K Ghori is definitely a hard nut to crack as each questions has a different technique to be followed. First do center of mass (chapter 4) and then dynamics portion (chapters 7,8,9,10,12,14 and moment of inertia). Get the photocopies of their unsolved exercise questions and place them before u while solving. Also u can ask a sibling or friend to write down a few questions for you on paper. U must not use the book.

Then do vectors portion followed by statics (chap 2,3,5,6).

@Ayesha Mahmood
The paper is always set from this book. 2010 paper isn't an exception as few people have been saying. The only change was that the examiner put the theory instead of numericals. All the theory of 2010 paper is present in the book.

Regards,
Muhammad Afzal

@ r.i.p

AOA,

You are right , but there are also other books recommended for mechanics so any thing can happen. That's why I said that. As prevention is better than cure so should not take any risk.

Thanks,

Regards.

@Ayesha Mahmood

Walikum salam..... agreed janab....but i think if u become expert in Q.K.Ghori then u can solve questions of any type as it covers all the topics except moment of inertia (which was present in the old edition).....

Best of luck for both, Ayesha Mahmood & marycop.

Regards,

Unhappy

some questions are far too difficult for me to comprehend,as in chp 9 of ghouri sb. the guide of pakistan book centre is also making blunders(since i cannot get his steps),so i want to ask that if any other good guide or any notes are available??

If you are using Ghauri saab book for differential equations so I suggest dont go for answers becuase there are some answer problems more I would suggest You to go the Youtube and search for MIT Lectures about the Science subjects You are studying, take these video lectures and then start studying the related books.

Default Q.K.Ghori

After reading QK Ghori i reached at the conclusion that it is not a book for concept building.... though it covers the syllabus well. in my view we must study any good english writer first like i am using introduction to mechanics by david kleppler easily available on internet. but i am also consulting QK Ghori in conjuction with this book..... Thanks
