Default ya definitly

Hello,

I think it is a very good scoring subject last year i scored 140 and this year i have qualifed written and m sure that my score would be more than 150 but one thing about chemistry is that is ,worth mentioning, is that if u have only a bechelor s degree that do not go for it cos the paper is a bit difficult. so if are at home in this subject then its good otherwise do not select it.

Default I have chemistry as opt as well :)

@ChemistSafi
What books would you recommend? And how much time did you give to chemistry?

I have a chemical engineering background, and I have studied all the industrial processes and organic chemistry as part of my BE(Will do Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics in coming years of my BE). Still I don't know anything about quantum chemistry topics (Schrodinger Equation etc), but with time Inshallah I will get better.

Yes brother Chemistry is always a scoring subject......if studied and attempted well........mostly people donot prepare it with heart with the presumption that it is not a scoring subject ....
Precise, systematic, compact, selective comprehensive study and to the point preparation without getting into unnecessary stuff i.e irrelevant books, notes etc etc,
You can score well if you prepare well
Concentrate on BSc Chemistry Books and also donot pile up a dump of books and notes,,,,,it will only create confusion and stress in end days,

Bsc books are quite enough for CSS-Chemistry. Best of luck. DONT BE AFRAID OF CHEMISTRY....... otherwise you will end in a fear and nothing else........

Default Don't worry

@Chemguy
I think good books for chemistry are
B.S Bahl for organic chemistry
Inorganic chemistry by Zafar Iqbal
for physical u Should follow Ilmi Text Book

If u don't study quantum Mechanics it would not matter cos there is a lot of choice in papers but u have to be tight in other chapters like surface chemistry electro chemistry, thermodynamics and chemical kinetics.
